Los desórdenes políticos que caracterizaron el siglo III d. C. en Roma estuvieron alimentados por dos grupos de causas principales: las luchas intestinas para alcanzar el trono imperial, por una parte y consolidarlo en clave dinástica, y por
otra, la necesidad de atender los requerimientos de una sociedad que acusaba profundas transformaciones acumuladas desde mediados del siglo I d. C. Costes militares, administrativos, logísticos y de mecenazgo finalista, se suman a los derivados de la compra de voluntades en los ámbitos más próximos al poder. Todos ello se refleja en la necesidad de un flujo continuo de numerario acuñado en oro y plata. En una época donde no existe la política financiera y la única posibilidad real de actuar sobre la Economía del Estado es la política económica monetaria, la solución consistente en la adulteración por ley, principalmente, de la moneda de plata, lleva consigo su degradación, su devaluación y la aparición de un escenario persistente de inflación galopante. Es decir, los intentos de estabilización sólo producen a corto plazo, una precarización de las condiciones de vida de la población. Esta ponencia abordará este fenómeno en su origen, desarrollo, alcance y consecuencias en  relación con la evolución del Imperio en el siglo III d. C.

The political disorders that characterized the 3rd century A.D. in Rome were fed by two groups of mainsprings: the internal fights to reach the imperial throne, on one hand and it to be consolidated in dynastic key, and for other one, by the need to attend to society requirements that was accusing deep transformations accumulated from middle of the 1st century A.D. Military, administrative, logistic costs and finalist patronage, were added to those  that were from the wills purchase in the areas nearer to power. All it is reflected in the need of a constant flow of money coined in gold and silver. In a time where financial politics does not exist and the only real chance of success of managing on the State Economy was by means of economic monetary politics, the option consisting of enforcing by law demoting currency, principally, of silver  currencies, got its quality lost, devaluation and the emergence of a persistent and astonishing  situation of inflation. That is to say, the attempts of stabilization only produce in short term, a downgrade of the population living conditions. This paper will approach this phenomenon in its origin, development, scope and consequences in relation with the Empire evolution in the 3rd century A.D.

An efficient and new but non-intrusive method to detect the fluctuation in gear load may be the motor current signature analysis (MCSA). In this paper, a multi-stage transmission gearbox (with and without defects) has been studied in order to replace the conventional vibration monitoring by MCSA. It has been observed through FFT analysis that low frequencies of the vibration signatures have sidebands across line frequency of the motor current whereas high frequencies of vibration signature are difficult to be detected. Hence, discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is suggested to decompose the current signal, and FFT analysis is carried out with the decomposed current signal to trace the sidebands of the high frequencies of vibration

With the development of health consciousness and growing of population, the healthcare
demand becomes more and more important. The technologies and demands accelerated
different kinds of home-based devices for the aged healthcare and medical treatment.
Mobile computing technologies enable telemedicine applications operating on mobile
devices. My idea is to design E-Health Application Server (an information system for
in-home healthcare) for IPTV environment. The application not only enables
monitoring of electrocardiogram (ECG), blood oxygen, blood pressure, body temperature
and weight but also supports online medical interviews. In functionality, its key feature is
the user interface manageable by a simple TV remote-control. Implementation of this
application results in a software widget, which is installed in a set-top-box. A set-top box
based manipulation method was adopted for operators. The parameters collected by
devices and their values can simply put by remote control and transmitted through settop
box and received by the E-health server. It is then sent to the medical staff of a hospital
or healthcare center for professional healthcare advice or clinical diagnosis.
Simultaneously, the collected parameters and feedback clinic advice is stored on the
server which could be accessed by long distance clients such as IPTV users. The
proposed system involves multiple physiologic parameters which lead to great potential
for universality and in the terminal side, the set-top box and IPTV screen shared scenario
brought ease of use. Further progresses were made in the product upgrade because the
shared IPTV screen was employed, which might be improved with the family demand.

Due to significant popularity of Location-based Services and Multimedia communication over mobile devices, there are many researches has been conducted to extend the features of location tracking and make it cost-effective to users. It becomes necessary for the users to have seamless communication with automated switching of software applications. This paper focuses on the performance of indoor location tracking system on IPv6 Network Island with multiple real time applications that has location assisted transfer for mobile users. RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) mechanism has been used to locate the moving nodes. The developed location tracking server is having dynamic and centralized MySQL database management system. SIP (Session Initial Protocols) user agent has been used to deploy intercommunicating of multimedia data for instance; video and audio conference, text messaging among the moving nodes and user can transfer the seamlessly transfer the session to their nearest mobile node which will be determined by the Location Server. This paper is going to discuss about the seamless performance of SIP during the session transference. The developed project is cost-effective and precisely conducive for the industries or any indoor organization. The prototype of the project has been successfully developed and has been tested as well. The results show the seamless connectivity of the multimedia application during device switching.

Poor voice quality in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) models during communication is a common occurrence that VoIP users experience, and can be frustrating when users cannot communicate efficiently. Most people find it difficult when they make calls and there is an echo. In addition time, effort and energy are wasted without any compensation. Users are also frustrated by not receiving, not transmitting or misunderstanding voice messages correctly. This study aims to reduce the threat of bad calls and improve the quality of voice calls. The work is designed to solve the need of the community of users by helping them to reduce communication costs and at the same time enabling them to communicate with greater clarity of signal using a unified communication system such as phones, computers, and tablets with one another. However, when the service requirement is greater than or equal to the threshold, it is segmented into less than or equal to the threshold value in smaller packets with a maximum service requirement. Besides this, if this node is vacant or has a single packet in the service unit, a packet is not saved at an intermediate node. These findings show the validity of hybrid switching that includes three fundamental computer network switching methods: packet, signal, and circuit switching. The results show that the maximum value of the limit is always available, which minimizes the network delay for nearly all traffic concentrations

— An automatic verification of person's identity from its voice is a part of modern telecommunication services. In order to execute a verification task, a speech signal has to be transmitted to a remote server. So, a performance of the verification system can be influenced by various distortions that can occur when transmitting a speech signal through a communication channel. This paper studies an effect of the state of art wideband (WB) speech codecs on a performance of automatic speaker verification in the context of a channel/codec mismatch between enrollment and test utterances. The speaker verification system is developed on GMM-UBM method. The results show that EVS codec provides the best performance over all the investigated scenarios in this study. Moreover, deploying G.729.1 codec in a training process of the verification system provides the best equal error rate in the fully-codec mismatched scenario. Anyhow, differences between the equal error rates reported for all of the codecs involved in this scenario are mostly nonsignificant.

Increased density of wireless devices, ever growing demands for extremely high data rate, and spectrum scarcity at microwave bands make the millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies an important player in future wireless networks. However, mmWave communication systems exhibit severe attenuation, blockage, deafness, and may need microwave networks for coordination and fall-back support. To compensate for high attenuation, mmWave systems exploit highly directional operation, which in turn substantially reduces the interference footprint. The significant differences between mmWave networks and legacy communication technologies challenge the classical design approaches, especially at the medium access control (MAC) layer, which has received comparatively less attention than PHY and propagation issues in the literature so far. In this paper, the MAC layer design aspects of short range mmWave networks are discussed. In particular, we explain why current mmWave standards fail to fully exploit the potential advantages of short range mmWave technology, and argue for the necessity of new collision-aware hybrid resource allocation frameworks with on-demand control messages, the advantages
of a collision notification message, and the potential of multihop communication to provide reliable mmWave connections.

In this paper, a printed Yagi antenna with an integrated balun is proposed for CubeSat communications. The printed antenna is mechanically adjustable to realize three functional states at different operating frequencies in the L-band and S-band respectively. Three different angle deployments are proposed at 10°, 50° and 90°, so that the antenna operates at three different operating frequencies, namely 1.3 GHz (L-band), 2.4 GHz (S-band) and 3 GHz (S-band). The measured results of the fabricated antenna are well matched with the simulation, having frequencies of 2.82–3.07 GHz, 1.3–1.4 GHz and 2.38–2.57 GHz, with similar radiation patterns. The measured gain of the antenna is 8.167 dBi at 2.4 GHz, 5.278 dBi at 1.3 GHz and 6.120 dBi at 3 GHz. This paper presents the design and implementation of a fully integrated transimpedance amplifier (TIA) as the analog frontend receiver for Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasound Transducers (CMUTs) for ultrasound biomicroscope imaging application. The amplifier is designed to amplify the received signals from 17.5MHz to 52.5MHz with a center frequency of 35MHz. The TIA was fabricated in GF 0.18μm 1P6M 30V high voltage process. The measurement results show that the designed amplifier can reach a transimpedance gain of 61.08dBΩ and operating frequency from 17.5MHz to 100MHz with 1VP-P output voltage under 6V power supply.  Abstract-Aeronautical Data Chain is a conceptual representation of the path that a set or element of aeronautical data takes from its origination up to end-use. There are classical databases such as navigation or terrain database and configuration files for modularity and portability purposes. These databases can be used to activate or deactivate software items, adapt the software computation to the aircraft configuration, or provide computation data. The RTCA DO-200B establishes three Data Process Assurance Level (DPAL) as the level of rigor, representing the amount of verification and validation tasks performed, during data processing to assure data quality. This paper presents four different and complementary validation techniques to ensure correctness for Aeronautical Databases. This work aims to cover the existing gap in the available standards, presenting and exemplifying some proposed techniques. It also presents some techniques and provides different comparisons and specific intentions. At the end, some relevant needs of qualified tools are discussed to ensure that the use of techniques can be automated, and credits can be sought using tools.

The use of a filter plays an important part in a communication channel because it is effective at eliminating spectral leakage, reducing channel width, and eliminating interference from adjacent symbols (Inter Symbol Interference) ISI. It describe the developed and dynamic method of designing finite impulse response filter with automatic rapid and less error by an efficient genetic and neural approach. GA and Neural are powerful global optimization algorithm introduced in combinational optimization problems. Here, FIR filter is designed using Genetic, Neural approach by efficient coding schemes. We need to design these filters with some constraints imposed by requirements of the communication system in which we are going to use them. The use of optimization techniques have been proved to be quite useful towards the design of those digital filters with certain specifications. This paper reviews about the uses of optimization systems in digital filter design.

 Abstract— Data Leakage can be referred as the unauthorized transfer of classified information from a computer or data centre to the outside world. Big data is an evolving term that describes any voluminous amount of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data that has the potential to be mined for information. The data loss in such huge massive data sets may cause critical vulnerabilities. In this paper we proposed a novel model in Hadoop master/slave architecture for data leakage prevention with LRA algorithm. The LRA algorithm evaluates the Least Reliable Agent and sends it to the DLA (Data Leakage Avoider). DLA prevents the NameNode from allocating data to these agents.

Abstract— The research aims to isolate indigenous bacteria present in oil sludge from oil tanks and oil pits from Basrah Refinery Factories and study their ability to degrade oil sludge by Gas Chromatographic Analysis. The research started on October 2013 till November 2014. Soil sampling was taken on several places with contaminated soil location from oil tanks and oil pits in Basrah, south of Iraq. The bacteria were isolated by using an enrichment culture and a single colony isolation technique. All isolates were screened for bacterial oil degradation using 0.5% diesel in Bushnell-Hass Mineral Salt medium. The ability of to degrade oil sludge was identified by using Gas Chromatographic Analysis. The predominant bacteria belonged to the genera Pseudomonas spp., Arthrobacter spp., Rhodococcus spp., and Bacillus spp.  The most active degraders of oil sludge Pseudomonas sp. and Rhodococcus sp. All the tested isolates show good activity to degrade n-alkanes in oil sludge.

This report focuses on the Access network implementation of a 5G small-cell communication system using Cognitive Radio. 5G systems are the next major wireless communications standard and Cognitive Radio is being heralded as a valid implementation method when the wireless communications industry finally concludes on a fifth generation standard. The project is concerned with implementing a Beyond-Next-Generation (5G) communications network based on Cognitive Radio. A functioning model is developed in matlab, the purpose of which is to show that Cognitive Radio based 5G systems will give acceptable Quality-of-Service and energy efficiency levels.
The Access network implementation of the system involves channel assignment for the access links which provide network access to mobile subscribers. Suitable channels to service call requests are determined based on cognition.
The system performance is evaluated by estimating the system blocking and dropping probabilities and the percentage of energy saved.

Objective quality assessment models have been used more and more in recent years to assess or monitor speech and audio quality in many multime-dia and audio processing systems. These methods offer a clear and repeatable way to evaluate a customer experience by measuring perceived quality on a subjective scale, which is easily understood, such as a quality rating scale, ranging from excellent quality to a low quality. Subsequently, the aim of service providers is to offer reliable services providing the end-user/customer with the best possible quality in the context of the current network conditions to avoid a customer churn. This paper presents a design and performance evaluation of parametric models estimating the audio quality experienced by the end user of broadcasting systems and web-casting applications. The Random Forest (RF) algorithm is used to design non-intrusive parametric models, establishing the relationship between the feature description and the perceived quality scores. For this, the broadcast and web-cast sub-databases were created , where the web-cast sub-database includes 17,280 degraded samples and the broadcast sub-database contains 1,080 degraded samples obtained from the Slovak Radio. The results reported for the proposed paramet-ric audio quality models have validated Random Forest as a powerful technique that provides a good efficiency in terms of Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE).

This paper plans a LoRaWAN network for smart meters in Karawang Industrial Estate, Indonesia's largest industrial estate. To measure and recognize electricity use in a place immediately, we use a tool called a smart meter, which is part of the Internet of Things (IoT), to provide control and optimization of electricity. Smart meters will operate using LoRaWAN network connectivity as a LoRaWAN communication protocol that supports IoT use at a frequency of 920-923 MHz using coverage planning and capacity planning using Forsk Atoll 3.3.2 simulation software. The parameters used in this study are Spreading Factor (SF) 7, Code Rate (CR) 4/5, Bandwidth 125 kHz, Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), and Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP). We use them to obtain the number of gateways needed to optimize the scope of gateways for sending electricity monitoring data to Karawang Industrial Estate and knowing the value generated from the parameters above. The simulation of LoRaWAN planning resulted in RSRP with a mean of-77.94 dBm and a standard deviation of 8.27 dBm. The SNR result has a mean of 13.14 dB with a standard deviation of 9.68 dB. The last parameter is that throughput ranges of 4-6 kbps with a mean of 5.47 kbps. The result of this planning produces RSRP, SNR, and Throughput parameter values in good condition to be applied to the application of smart metering in Karawang Industrial Estate.

The encoder changes data from one arrangement to additional for the resolves of calibration. In this paper, the telecommunication system by both encoder and decoder is applied that is extensively benefiting for great quickness requests. The system is depending on logic circuit for executing and detecting signal by encoder and decoder devices. These logic circuits are AND, OR, XOR which has the capability to decrease the consumption of power for encoder and decoder. The suggested program is designed and applied by using Matlab toolbox. The results for encoder and decoder system appear that the system is successful for encoding and decoding signal with optimal power efficiency.

The main objective of this project is to develop and implement a prototype of a controller scheme using latest control algorithms and drives technology to capture maximum sun energy from sun through solar panel in day time. The efficiency of a solar panel is related to the amount of solar energy it absorbed, so it is necessary to track the sun’s position for the panel accurately. A new approach to implement a control unit so that the position of the panel is always kept perpendicular to the sun so as to capture maximum amount of energy. In this control unit a new tracking system is proposed, which comprises of a sensor (position), a microcontroller, and a stepper motor. The position sensor (pyranometer) always detects the position of the sensor. This sensor also detects the radiation from the sun. The fuzzy logic control approach is developed in the microcontroller to design a drive unit for stepper motor as well as to detect the sun position. By implementing this tracking system, the solar panel can be perpendicular to the sun at any moment in day time to obtain maximum solar radiation. The resulting structure has high efficiency, low cost and can be easily modified. This improves the performance of regular tracker nearby 30-40%.

— Designing an efficient Distributed Database System (DDBS) is considered as one of the most challenging problems because of multiple interdependent factors which are affecting its performance. Allocation and fragmentation are two processes which their efficiency and correctness influence the performance of DDBS. Therefore, efficient data fragmentation and allocation of fragments across the network sites are considered as an important research area in distributed database design. In this paper presents an approach which simultaneously fragments data vertically and allocates the fragments to appropriate sites across the network. Bond Energy Algorithm (BEA) is applied with a better affinity measure that improves the generated clusters of attributes.

Drill cuttings represent one of the most significant waste streams in the upstream oil and gas industry, and they require effective and efficient treatment and disposal. The industry is working with regulators to achieve continuous improvement in its environmental performance, with the ultimate goal of zero discharge. Drill cuttings may be contaminated in either water based mud (WBM) or oil based mud (OBM). Drill cuttings from OBMs are typically hydrocarbon contaminated and will require the filtering of contaminants prior to disposal or reuse. This study investigated the effectiveness of treating oil contaminated drill cuttings using thermal desorption method. Sample of drill cuttings were collected from a field drilling operation in the Niger delta. The initial oil content was about 21.8% and after treatment in the thermal desorption unit the resultant dry drill cuttings (ash) oil content was 0.33%. This meets the regulatory requirement of oil on cuttings (OOC) of less than 1% by weight, eliminating future environmental liabilities. Also, laboratory testing showed that the recovered base-oil is remarkably similar in composition to the original diesel in composition and that it can be used in an identical manner.

—Having accurate, detailed, and upto-date information about wildlife location and behavior across broad geographic areas would revolutionize our ability to study, conserve, and manage species and ecosystems. Currently, such data are mostly gathered manually at great expense, and thus are sparsely and infrequently collected. Here we investigate the ability to automatically collect such data, which could transform many fields of biology, ecology, and zoology into big data sciences. In areas like an airportor the agricultural areas placed near the forest many animals destroy the crops or even attack on people therefore there is a need of system which detects the animal presence and gives warning about that in the view of safety purpose. In this project, we demonstrate that such data can be automatically extracted by deep neural networks (deep learning), which is a cutting-edge type of artificial intelligence. Thus,the aim is to train neural networks that automatically identifiesanimals.

The objective of the present paper is to evaluate the impact of adjacent and co-channel interference on the performance of some standard report systems that exists in an outdoor telecommunications cabinet - base station (BS) (also known as KV, from the acronym of the German word Kabelverzweiger) and devices that technicians frequently use. Specifically, the interference analyzed is between devices, such as Bluetooth handset, laptop and measurement tools, that are usually used during inspections and repairs by technicians and wireless reporting systems installed inside BS that provide information about BS’s condition and real time connection with the help desk back office.

A VLAN is a logical connection that allows hosts to be grouped together in the same broadcast domain, so that packets are delivered only to ports that are combined to the same VLAN. We can improve wireless network performance and save bandwidth through the characteristic VLAN network. In addition, the implementation of VLAN greatly improves wireless network security by reducing the number of hosts receiving copies of frames broadcast by switches, thus keeping hosts holding critical data on a separate VLAN. In this paper we compare wireless network with VLAN via wireless network. The proposed network is evaluated within terms of delay and average throughput using web browsing applications and file transfer in heavy traffic. The simulation was carried out using OPNET 14.5 modeler and the results show that the use of VLAN via wireless network improved performance by reducing traffic resulting in a minimized delay time.
